Oliver's, A History
Oliver's was born from a love for imaginative play.
My children were enthralled with the Harry Potter book series and had asked me to make a magic wand for them. While they were content with my first attempt (A poorly carved wood dowel.) I was not. I purchased a wood lathe and taught myself to use it. This was a significant undertaking, as prior to the purchase of the lathe my only tools were a cordless drill and a hammer.
After months of trial and a whole lot of error, I learned to make magic wands. My children were thrilled. They carried them everywhere they went showing them to friends and strangers alike. Soon I had parents calling to inquire about the purchase of a magic wand for their child.
Oliver's Wands was born.
Today Oliver's Wands is gaining momentum; inspired by the recognition and support of customers like you and the enthusiasm of boys and girls around the world. We are confident of our future. We are equally confident in the bright and promising future of our young customers. We are truly excited to be able to offer you something so uniquely special. We hope you'll share our excitement and, of course, we truly hope your child will enjoy your Oliver's Wand for many years to come.
Oliver's Wands is dedicated to making the finest magic wands available. Each magic wand style is researched and carefully designed for balance and form before being hand crafted in my studio. As each magic wand is hand made, no two are exactly alike. Even wands of a similar style will have subtle differences. Since we use exotic hard woods we have no need for stains, dyes, or paints. Three coats of hand rubbed bees wax is the only finish we have ever used. This same high standard is applied to the wood we use. ALL of the wood used to make Oliver's Wands come from reputable brokers. This ensures we are not contributing to deforestation. Oliver's is not only committed to inspiring young people but ensuring the world they inherit is a healthy one.
We truly love what we do and believe our passion is reflected in the magic wands we make.

We, at Oliver's, understand parents concerns and we share them. We want to join with parents to foster healthy optimism which in today's world is in short supply. We want to serve, in some small way, as facilitators of the possible. We seek to help our young people realize that the power to achieve greatness is within themselves and will be the natural result of wise choices. To contribute to imagination, creativity, optimism and self confidence is a worthy undertaking.
